About Me – How We Work Together!

Hello there! I am delighted to share more about myself and how I can assist you with your real estate needs. My name is Michelle Hawco, and I am a mother of four. Yes, you read that correctly – four kids constantly keeping me on my toes! As a parent, I realize the significance of discovering a home that not only suits your requirements but also provides a secure and comfortable atmosphere for your family. Real estate and parenting share several similarities, including patience, problem-solving skills, and quick thinking abilities. As a real estate agent and a mother, I possess all these qualities and am prepared to put them to use for you. Additionally, I have a passion for assisting seniors in downsizing and transition to more suitable living arrangements. This calling arose organically, as many of my past clients asked me to help their aging parents. I understand the emotional and psychological impacts that this process can have on seniors, and I’m here to support with empathy, compassion, and personalized care every step of the way.

My real estate journey started in 2006, and ever since, I have been passionate about assisting families. Before embarking on my real estate career, I worked as a Franchisee with Petro-Canada, where I sharpened my business administration and marketing skills by working in a fast-paced retail environment. The experience was immensely gratifying, and in 2005, I was recognized with the Presidents Award for Operational Excellence. Despite enjoying my time in the gas business, I realized that my true calling was in real estate, where I could utilize my skills to assist others.

What sets me apart as a real estate agent is my holistic approach. Buying or selling a home is a significant decision that requires taking into account all the factors that will affect your life presently and in the future. As your advisor, I will work with you to understand your unique needs and objectives and create a tailored strategy to assist you in achieving them. My aim is to guide you through the entire process, from beginning to end, so that you can find a home that fits your needs and accomplishes your financial objectives.

Creating a safe space for families and seniors is essential to me. I don’t use pressure tactics or hound my clients until they buy. Instead, I’m here to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions, help you achieve your long-term wealth goals. My business has been built on repeat business and referrals, and I’m proud to say that my clients trust me to provide them with honest and reliable real estate advice. That’s why my slogan is “Real Estate Advice You Can Trust.” I prioritize creating a pressure-free, judgement-free, and client-focused experience for every client, whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned investor.

When I’m not helping families find their dream homes, I spend quality time with my family. We have a rural Flamborough property where we tend to our vegetable gardens, sit by campfires, and gaze at the stars. I cherish those peaceful moments and reflect on the beauty of the world around us. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga and crocheting. I’m passionate about all things birth and am a trained birth doula, although I don’t have time to attend births during this busy season of my life. My family loves exploring new neighbourhoods, hiking together, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. While I’m a coffee lover at heart, I usually make my own cup at home and rarely visit coffee shops.

How We Work Together

When you work with me, you can expect a three-phase approach designed to help you feel confident and in control of the process. From the initial consultation to the final closing, I will be with you every step of the way!

Phase 1: Discovery & Planning – During this phase, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan to help you achieve your real estate goals. We’ll visit your home, communicate via messaging apps, go over your budget and expenses, provide a market analysis, and identify areas that need improvement.

Phase 2: Shopping & Home Preparation – In this phase, we’ll prepare your home to sell for top dollar in the shortest time possible. We’ll coordinate the delivery of moving supplies, connect you with trusted partners for home improvement and renovation projects, and source necessary staging items. We’ll also educate you about the buying process, customize your home search, coordinate home visits, prepare and review offers, and negotiate until you find your dream home.

Phase 3: Listing Day to Closing Day – This is the final step in getting your home sold and ensuring a smooth transition to your new home. During this phase, we provide a personalized market analysis, help you sign listing documents, arrange pre-move activities, deep cleaning, and staging, and coordinate marketing efforts. We also handle negotiations until the best offer is accepted and provide ongoing support by liaising with mortgage and legal professionals, sharing paperwork, arranging revisits, and recommending movers. To make the process stress-free, we keep track of important dates and tasks and provide reminders. Finally, we arrange for convenient key access on closing day and look forward to celebrating this amazing milestone with you.
